Default a favorite higher lvl SNG play

Note: Don't try this in anything under 50, as it will not work and leave you like a fool.

I call it the Bluff bet thats looks truly genuine, it screams 'monster'. If he called my turn bet, i would have led all in on the river, look at the stack sizes it was time to make a move. I felt i would have enough power to push him off his hand. And i knew if he did have an ace (which i doubt) he would re-raise me on the turn and allow me to let my hand go.

Another play i truly enjoy using is this, check-raise all in bluff. It is VERY dependent on your opponent and how much he bets. You have to take into account how much he bet and if he is committed to calling, else you are screwed.

lol look at his comment.. I knew from the mini raise that he had a stronger ace. i Felt if i led the flop, this guys agressive nature would have been come over the top, in which case i'd have to fold. Pretend you have AA and your desperate for chips. I know alot of people would lead on the flop to shut out the drawers, but some people would check raise all in on the flop to shut out the draws. From his previous betting pattern (note same opponent each hand) i knew he would bet. This play is alot easier to make if you pretend you have AA. Think to yourself if i have AA how would i play it? The magic # was 700. I felt if he bet 700 or more, he would be forced to call me with the better ace that dominates my naked ace. If you use this play make real sure he doesn't commit himself. I find it works better then all in first to act, looks less like a bluff.

I showed him my cards to set up a later play. Note how his chip stack absolutely dwindled throughout the bubble play until he was forced to make a wrong decision.

He came over the top with a worser hand because of the previous two plays. By showing my bluff earlier he made a reckless play that cost him a surely a third at the least.

Thoughts or Questions on any hand/play? This was a 100 SNG i believe.

I guess this could go under playing the player. Or SNG section. (agressive player short handed in SNG)

It is a great play and I like that you showed the A/2. Although I think he probably was ready to move all in with that A/Q. He probably thought he was ahead.

were these hands one right after another?

I dont think his AQ hand was a bad decision on his part. I think that he just got unlucky and ran into ur AK.

it goes A2 hand.. Q8 hand then the AK hand.. so 2nd 1st third, my mistake.
I also showed the Q8 hand just because then i knew for sure he would be gunning me, i was careful not to get out of line on steals after that, because i knew the next time i raised he was gonna go over the top of me and i was right. I was a bit surprised he flipped over such a decent hand, i was kind of expecting J7o or something.
Yea the AQ play wasn't bad, i guess it just wasn't his night.
