Default Critique this hand for me?

Here is a hand that knocked me out of $3 MTT tonight.

I didnt feel bad about this at all, because the guy WAS chasing, and I figured I was ahead in this hand with an opportunity to more than double up. Any pointers on this?

    ** Game ID 408106440 starting - 2005-07-02 21:43:20
** $3 NL Freezeout:Table 3 [Multi Table Hold 'em] (20.00|40.00 No Limit - MTT) Real Money

    - AlDiggs sitting in seat 1 with $1220.00
    - dilt sitting in seat 2 with $2520.00
    - LesDog1 sitting in seat 3 with $1350.00 [Dealer]
    - scmachine sitting in seat 4 with $1470.00
    - PnutPancake sitting in seat 5 with $2900.00
    - Scn115 sitting in seat 6 with $1340.00
    - Robski76 sitting in seat 7 with $1320.00
    - Ribgor sitting in seat 8 with $2290.00
    - hing73 sitting in seat 9 with $1740.00
    - MNMP2 sitting in seat 10 with $1110.00

scmachine posted the small blind - $10.00
PnutPancake posted the big blind - $20.00

    ** Dealing card to MNMP2: :8s: :6s:
    Scn115 folded
    Robski76 called - $20.00
    Ribgor raised - $75.00
    hing73 called - $75.00
    MNMP2 called - $75.00
    AlDiggs called - $75.00
    dilt called - $75.00
    LesDog1 folded
    scmachine folded
    PnutPancake folded
    Robski76 called - $75.00

I called here because I knew I would get a bunch of limpers from this table.

    ** Dealing the flop: :6h:, :3s:, :2h:
    Robski76 checked
    Ribgor bet - $150.00
    hing73 folded
    MNMP2 raised - $300.00
    AlDiggs called - $300.00
    dilt folded
    Robski76 folded
    Ribgor called - $300.00
This is the one thing I may have done differently - maybe a bigger raise here?

    ** Dealing the turn: :2d:
    Ribgor checked
    MNMP2 went all-in - $735.00
    AlDiggs called - $735.00
    Ribgor folded
    AlDiggs shows: :Ah: :Jh:

    ** Dealing the river: :3h:

DOH! - I figured he was chasing too - lol

AlDiggs wins $2850.00 from the main pot

Fold. You went in with 8-6 suited? You went in hoping to catch a monster post flop... which would of been a straight or a flush (or a straight flush).. instead you catch TPWK with two hearts... and your TPWK is easily destroyed by any pocket pair. Not worth trying to get the pot with only a pair of 8's... even if someone is chasing

the 86s calling a raise is weird, but if thats your style i won't fault you. you put your money allin on the turn when you had the best of it, and got unlucky. thats poker.

just want to point out that you were actually behind on the flop. 2 overs w/ a flush draw is a favorite.

Well, I guess this is what confuses me sometimes because I have been reading and re-reading the strategy articles by Rada and Rippy, and I know in Rippy's post under Step Outside The Box, it specifically says to "call affordable bets with suited rags". So I thought I was OK in doing that, and figured that I misplayed it later in the hand.

there's a big difference between calling a raise out of position with suited rags and calling or raising with low suited connectors when you're in position and have control of the table.

    That makes sense.

I'm looking at this hand a lot differently now.

I agree. When you play these types of speculative hands, you are lucking to hit a big, sneaky hand. However, you have to make sure you do not become attached to it if you hit only a pair.
