Default Testament to the strategies taught here

I'm in a $3 MTT tourney with 750 players in it.

Currently sitting 50th out of 65 players left and in the money.

Have not had ONE pocket pair over 99 dealt to me in 2 1/2 hours of play. Not one. But I'm still hangin' because i am getting better at making my own opportunities when I need to.

    Update:

Finished 33 out of 751 players. And I am absolutely not exaggerating - I NEVER had any PP higher than 99 , which I had once, in 3 hours of play. AK twice (not suited) AQo once. I would have never had made it very far at all 2 months ago with those kinds of cards. I still got 3 times my buy-in, which I am happy with considering the horrible cards I got. But I have learned that you can still go far even without great cards.

    Thanks FTR

    That, my friend, is poker.

Everyone gets their fair share of great cards over time. If you're not getting them for a while (and others have noticed you've not been playing many hands), you gotta get creative sometimes or you'll be blinded out.

Thanks for the props to our gang at FTR.
