Default How to play cowboys when an ace hits..

Raise to scare out the ace with weak kicker, but get someone on a flush draw (with two unders) to call you, then call the busted flush draws bluff lol

people who are bad enough to play with any ace are usually the same ones who don't fold their top pair.

if you knew they had a flush draw, why check the turn?

The first bettor was in the small blind, and i probably should have bet out, but wasnt sure what he had on the turn

I would have raised 3xBB PF and bet on the flop. The check on the turn may seem too weak so another 3xBB may have been better. AK would likely raise you there, while a draw will likely call. The check on the river is a good play since you are still vulnerable to an A. Nice call on the busted bluff.

I dont like raising utg with KK or AA, its just not that much fun, you lack position and often times opponents have a large informational advantage over you as well. I like the limp-reraise strategy. Of course I dont just limp-reraise with KK or AA, I do it with AK as well, just to keep opps guessing.

Your tricky pre-flop ploy missed and the flop sucked. It was a good hand, now you have an under-pair out of position in a nothing pot. Either let it go or stop limping KK.

Agreed. The player with the busted flush could just as easily have been the player with the Ax, QJ, 55, 22, 34s, etc.

Let me get this straight, your saying you played it perfectly because you raised just enough for the flush draw to call.

    ** Dealing Flop ** [ Ac, Qc, 5d ]
    kbdgone bets [$3].
    cygreen folds.
EvilEcstasy_ raises [$8]. BHAKEL hasnt acted yet, but you know he on a flush draw already?
BHAKEL calls [$8]. Obviously flush draw now, so lets check turn and give him a free river

    kbdgone folds.

    ** Dealing River ** [ Js ]
    EvilEcstasy_ checks.
    BHAKEL bets [$8].
EvilEcstasy_ calls [$8]. IMO About the only correct play play I see this hand.
    BHAKEL shows [ 6c, 9c ] high card ace.
EvilEcstasy_ shows [ Kc, Kh ] a pair of kings.
EvilEcstasy_ wins $40.85 from the main pot with a pair of kings.
