I read him on TPTK, never expected for him to hold the 10. (or to call a raise with 10 Q suited)

Ahh, the curse of ace's early.

I agree... betting the pot on flop would have been my move to flush out that 10.It's early in the game, so playing anything in the paint and a 10 is considered a premium hand by most fish. Most likely he would have called, and you could have fired another 1/2 pot bet at him on the turn. I relunctly would have let this go with his reraise, when the board pairs- alarm bells should always be ringing.

As for your second hand.... yeah, let this one go at the first chance. I would only play low pair headsup when I'm gambling for 1st place.
