Default People who wont fold their draws

    Question--

This pertains to home game SnG style tournaments... Say you are down to 4 players, and put someone on a draw. I seem to get into the situation where, I believe my opponent has a draw, and I have a weak holding like middle pair. I am unsure how to play this when the blinds are big compared to your stack. I am confident that they wont lay down their draw, and I have to put in half my chips to even attempt to get them to. All in can work, but if my read is wrong, I am out. If they call, I am rarely so far ahead that it makes me comfortable anyway.

Ex: Flop comes, they check, you bet, they call. They check the turn to you-- this depends on reads, but I tend to be fairly accurate as I play with the same people often enough. The situation is easier the deeper the money is, but when you dont have that much do you just push and hope you were right, and they either fold or miss their draw? I know that by betting, you make it mathematically incorrect for them to call, but when the money isnt deep pot odds arent that important (ie: pot odds tell me to call with any two, but I have to put in 1/3 of my stack to do so... something like that)

I know there is a lot of rambling in here, but give me some input...

if your reads are good enough to know when they are on a draw, bet the amount necessary to give them improper draws. if your read tells you they hit on the turn or river, then you can fold your hand.

I believe you need to give them less than 3 to 1 pot odds for you to make money in the long run. So if the pot has 2k in it and you only bet 1/2 the pot, then they would be correct to call you. Make them pay to hit their draw, since you are the favorite. This is a situation you should like to be in. Plus, when it comes up and they bet, you know you can fold if you're confident on your read

    himself fucker.
Just make a read and go with it.

You read him for a draw, don't even worry about being wrong. He has a draw. If it turns out you're wrong, try and do better next time.

No offense, but you really need to read some poker books. You're wagering real money online, so why not go out and buy some books with the same real money since you're losing it by not betting properly. Once you learn pot odds, you'll know how to deal with this. I really like Dan Harrington's books.

I totally understand pot odds, and Im not talking about a cash game setting. Im talking about a tournament situation, with players who wont fold a draw.

I do plan to read some poker books, but I understand pot odds, how to give someone bad pot odds, etc.
