I felt like this pay was ballzy but he musta been on Ax. ONly hand im fearing is Jack-x. If he had AA,KK,QQ he played them so wierd that he deserves my chips. I cant imagine what this guy laid down to not call an extra 400 on a 5k pot. Any ideas?

    Im taking a guess here.
    You raise he calls.
All the way to the river hes not seeing a card that he thinks you've got with a raising hand eg Q,K,A
So he calls you down and then tries to bluff you at the river when the made straight appears.
Boldly you push over the top he folds a balsy bluff or puts you on the straight.
Otherwise he has an underpair or something like a low pp thinks you bluffing and trying to buy the pot. Also, its a fair sized pot 2 try and bluff.

Im taking a stab in the dark but i actually think here ur push over the top is more bold than his attempt to (seemingly) bluff the pot. Maybe ur semi-bluff? worked.

It's not a semi-bluff if there are no draws!

If you're betting when you don't know whether you're bluffing or betting for value... you're a fish.

I guess that would qualify as a value bet. He had absolutely nothing. As in, 3 high or something. He tried to pull a spectacular long-ball bluff and got smacked with the hammer.
