Alright guys... I'm running a league too. It'll be hosted on Yahoo, but the draft is live and auction style. I'm too lazy to type out all the details again, so I'll copy and paste the smail I sent out earlier today.

Hey guys... thought I'd throw this out there for anyone interested. I couldn't get my TA software up in time for this season like I'd hoped (Those of you that know what I'm speaking of, just say "What else is new?" and those that don't, just ignore that)



I've decided to run an auction league where you bid on players to build your team. This should be a fun format, as there's no long waits between picks, and the head to head competition should keep it fun.



The draft will be FRIDAY, AUGUST 5th. and will start at 7:30 PM. Those that cannot make it, I am sorry... but for this kind of draft, it's essential that I get people together at one time.



There will be three ways to compete in this draft which will be run out of draft central (IE My House).



You can come and sit in my living room and draft from there. For those within rational driving distance, this would be the best option. Though if those from California, NC or such want to be make the drive... more power to you



I'll have an Online chat room running via AIM. I'll echo current bids in there, and you can compete that way.



For a couple of you, I can also include you via phone. I'm thinking specifically of someone like Austin here who doesn't have a net connection. I could even keep him informed via text messaging, but that would be somewhat limited.



The league will then be managed on thedailyslice.com or Yahoo's free fantasy football software.



All teams will have $250 to play with, and have to build a maximum 18 man roster.



Each week, will see teams starting 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 Kicker, and one Defense. You can have as few players on you want (though 9 is kind of a necessity) and up to 18.



During the draft, an order will be determined. As your "pick" comes up, You will call out the name of the player you want to put on the auction block, and your starting bid. An open auction then ensues, and the highest bidder gets that player. His value is then deducted from your Total. This will continue for 14 rounds, and will take some time.



The minimum bid is, naturally $1.



Some of the money must be saved though... you're only getting $250 for the season, and picking up free agents and waivers will cost you $3 bucks a head. You get NO money back for cut players, so you must spend wisely and conserve money for late in the season when needs arise.



I'm capping the involvement at 12 teams. Feel free to pass this on to friends, but those that email me first get the spots.
