Thoughts? I figured that any sizeable bet made me pot committed, and that I'd rather see all 5 cards, and that pushing offered the most folding equity.

Hand 2: Tried to get tricky with AA. Good laydown?

Hand 4: Set-up for hand 5. Read to understand how confident I was of being ahead in hand 5, and of getting called anyway. I hadn't showed down the weaker hand in at least the last several dozen hands, and those that I lost were hands I'd been ahead on.

Hand 5: bigfoot had shown a proclivity to play lots of hands once we got ITM. He doubled me up twice previously, then sucked out when I got him all in to regain the chiplead. My point is that when I pushed here, I knew he would call. I also was pretty confident I was ahead. But given my pair and the expectation of a call, is a push right?

Hand 7: An exception to the above. Anything you do different here? I figured with only 3 in the pot, my chances of TPGK being good were pretty decent. Honestly, part of me thinks it was a mistake not to raise preflop, but I'd been pretty aggro lately, so I wanted to slow down a bit to mix it up.

1: i check, if he bets, i push. if he checks, i bet pot on turn.
    2: fine.
3: fold to the raise. you won't make enough when you hit the set to make it worthwhile.
    4:-
5: i call the raise preflop and auto push the flop. unless you hit a set, in which case you can trap him somehow.
    6: no hand 6???
7: since you have been aggro, why not just fold this preflop? instead of slowing down the pace, just take a hand off and find another place to pick the aggression back up.
    8: fine
9: don't like your PFR. raise alot more preflop or just call. you aren't getting him to fold very often here, and when he calls you are stuck with a marginal hand.

Interesting. Can you expand on this? Are you looking at that play as a way of getting more chips in the pot (when you're either marginally ahead or slightly behind...45% or so to make the draw)? It seems to me that pushing while you have max folding equity is better...I'd rather take it down now; if I don't, then I want to see all five - but I'd rather just end it here.

It was a really tight bubble, so I actually was getting folds with a raise to 300. It also seemed easy enough to take down a hand post flop if no one hit (though I did expect a little resistance, hence the semi-slow play).

OK, here’s my $0.02 worth, do with it what you will ……

Hand 1 – I like it. I guess the main hand you are worrying about initially is shaef holding 66 given the limp from early. Any other type of hand gives you plenty of opportunities to win from there.

Hand 2 – This might just be me, but that seems an oversized bet from mojo to me. Surely if you hit something dirty out of the BB (like 73 or 72 for 2 pair etc), you would make a more callable bet? All in all, I think you are right to lay it down, it just seems a bit strange to me.

Hand 3 – I don’t mind the call with the 4s here. Provided that, if you hit your set here and win with it, it makes sense to call. There is 625 in the pot pre-flop and kywildcard has 1210 left and jac 1715. If Ky puts in the rest of his stack, you make 1835 for your 200 investment (9-and-a-bit:1) and if Jac puts in, you make even more. If they both put in, bingo. Maybe I have misunderstood here, but I think this is +EV in the long run??!

Hand 4 and 5 – weren’t you a bit worried that he might put you on some sort of tilt raise? I like it personally. You have a made hand and you are asking the question of him as to whether (a) he feels like gambling or (b) whether something like Ace-Middle is dominated here

Hand 7 – may have bet the flop, but I can see exactly why you didn’t. I think you are right to mix it up. I am not sure I would have bet the river tho. 2 smooth calls on the turn and then a J could have me behind to all sorts of combinations KT, KJ, KQ, QJ etc

Hand 8 – good lay down IMO. I think Bigfoot has already shown that he likes his assortment of Broadway cards.

Hand 9 – I like checking that flop and giving someone like Bigfoot a chance to bet at it

#1 - I like this move, esp. from the blinds

#2 - limping AA from UTG is something I might try on a full table where I think I have a strong chance at reraising. Why didn't you call the AI? He has a medium overpair.

#3 - yep, I'll call that with 2 opps in the hand - their stacks are also big enough to pay you

#4 - raise or fold - you're OOP and shouldn't look to play flops with that

#5 - I don't like it - I would focus my efforts on the small stack

#7 - the medium stack is going to take on your aggressive buddy - GET OUT OF THE WAY! With any luck he will bust out and you will get ITM

#8 - OOP - limp and consider a reraise on a single caller

#9 - I like the PFR, consider going AI on that flop, he may call with A8 or better

Hand 1: He had the 8, and caught another one. Tough break I guess.
Hand 2: His overbet to me says that he wants to take it down now but has a hand that could become strong. At the time I read it as a made hand, but looking back, the flush draw (which he had and completed) makes sense too.
Hand 3: Just checking. I think one of my leaks may be calling too much with a pocket pair...not sure if it's a bad leak or not for tournaments.
Hand 4: The blinds are big enough here that position is less of a factor. Often you can take them down just by being the first one to bet once the flop comes. If the pot is enlarged, however, I'd seen both players hang on. And anyone calling preflop also calls the bets preflop now that we're ITM.
Hand 5: We're already in the money and bigfoot is playing all kinds of crap. Focusing on the small stack means little given the blinds and the fact that bigfoot is in EVERY HAND. I called and he showed A4o, to catch an A.
Hand 6: Glad no one disagrees with my play here.
Hand 7: Despite the posting order, this hand took place long before the others. Sorry about that, but I was scanning them in reverse order when I wrote the post. I think check/call on the river is the right play, in retrospect.
Hand 8: I can't conceive of limping being the right play here. You do not want multiple people in this pot!
Hand 9: I think check-raising is the better play here. Pushing when I'm nearly big stack ensures no action...
