    Default Odd position question

I played in a $50 live tourney today with 27 people, top 5 are paid. Six people are left, and I had a stack of 10x BB. Most people were fish, but my table image was very tight. When I was BB the dealer (a very solid semi-loose aggressive player with the big stack) would raise 75% of the time putting in 3x BB raise everytime. What two cards do you need in this position to preform a re-steal?

Second, whenever I was dealer the BB (who was 2nd in chips with about 30x BB) was a complete fish and would call with any two. What two cards do you need to double up with in this situation (assuming its folded to you and your confident the SB will fold)?

I played very tight throughout the tourney and doubled up early on an AK and later again with a KK. I played very, very tight because most players were loose passives and I figured I could get ITM if I let them kill themselves. It was difficult, however, to steal blinds because the position I was in. I ended up busting 4th with AQ vs. AK after suffering 2 bad beats in a row, but overall a very good tourney that consumed 8 hours of my life.

When you suspect him of stealing your blind, don't resteal. Just say "Careful now, Careful... " before he raises and if he does raise once again, look at your hand (never look at your hand before action gets to you) and if it sucks say "Next time, im going with any two"

EDIT I only say don't resteal, becuase at a weak table, I probably expect a call.

What's everyone's stack look like? If he'll call 1/3rd of his stack with any two, I was a hand that shows down well, like 88+, AJo+ A9s+, KQ, KJ.

Playing tight early is perfectly fine, but you've gotta loosen up. You've gotta find out how the table views you. If at all.

The only problem is the action moved so fast, and the blinds were so high with only about 7 orbits until I'm out, I felt like I had to make a stand for myself eventually. I was completley card dead for a while and felt like I really needed to make a stand for myself, but I didn't want to risk my whole tournament life on just any two cards... (I guess I shouldn't be too tight expecting to blind out).

Stacks range from 5x BB to about 40x BB, and the first time I saw AJs as the dealer I pushed with it. I of course got called, and the kid flipped over 94s after debating for about 5 minutes. Everyone asked him what took so long, and his response was that "I didn't know if the 9 or 4 was coming, but then I felt it."

After this double up, I loosened up significantly but suffered 2 bad beats after flopping a straight and a kid a calls with TPBK and a 3-flush, then catching runner runner.

EDIT: One last question, would you ever fold TT or JJ with about a 10x BB stack, when there is an all-in and one caller (stack of 15x BB - 20x BB), with two possible callers behind you? You are getting great odds on your money and a chance to triple or quadruple up, but you have to figure that your up against atleast one higher pocket pair.

Against a table too loose to fold, you have wade it out and rely on other means to protect your chips. You just cant gamble here on the button.

Second question about JJ and TT. Yah, if we're on the button and someone's already in there and I'm not dying for chips. It's not +chip EV but it's +payout EV.

cards don't matter if you think he will fold. also, consider the stop n go in this case.
