short stack on BB late in 10+1

    Default short stack on BB late in 10+1

    Blinds at 1000, i had only 3400 left (3 blinds!) i get raised AI with 4 8 off... I figured I was up against 2 high cards , making me a 40/60 underdog..so called...is this a bad play?

    yes. just push when you get a chance, but don't call with bad cards unless pot is giving you really really good odds (like 1:3)

    OK two different views obviously..lol. Though since there was a shorter stack than me , maybe my call was a little questionable? Still with such a short stack relative to the blinds if I had folded, my reasoning was i had to take a shot in order to get in position to win (which i did, and ended up taking 1st) I dont know, guess it could go either way......

    I'd rather let the smaller stack make a tough decision on what to do on the next hand when they are the BB with SB following.
    pulling a courtiebee pŏŏl-ĭng ā kôrt-ē-bē (verb phrase):
    1. overvaluing mid pocket pairs
    2. knowing you should fold, but donkishly calling or raising anyway
