how would you have played that hand? i was going for the steal on the button, figured he was on a flush draw with two overs, and thought my trips were good..

I'd have re raised on the flop, then gone broke just like you did.

Folded preflop, I don't like trying to steal from a bigger stack.

What was the point in your play? You busted out on a steal with a half decent chip stack. All you had on the flop was bottom pair on the board and you still bet like a lunatic. Fair enough when you hit the set you had to bust out. I personally think it was a dumb play. Fair enough try and steal, but know when to leave the hand alone because you might be beaten.
