Bad call?

    Default Bad call?

Early in a turbo SNG, read on dontbscared is that he's very loose, fairly aggressive and has shown down some ugly hands. My thoughts were that he would have bet any hand with a 6 on the two suited flop with so many people in the hand, or any queen on the turn. I figured him for either a middle pair (77-JJ) or a 4.

    1) I would ofld preflop

    2) its not bad esp if ur read is that he is ultra loose and woudl have bet a 6 earlier. If you have a decent read here following it isnt bad.

    3) Contemplate folding becuase you still have a good sized stack. Really think about it. You cant win the tournament on this hand.

    4) FOld preflop.

as firs tto act, betting on the flop might not be too pretty. Leading out on the turn wouldnt hurt tho.

Yeah it was a marginal call preflop, but for 25 more as the sb in a turbo game I don't mind the gamble. Sadly I lost the pot when he turned over pocket sixes for a very well played flopped quads.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

besides folding preflop, I lead at this pot every time. I win it right then most of the time for fear of the blind having a 6. if someone calls, the reevaluate the hand. I suspect that he had a 6 the whole time and was slowplaying it.

I dont think completing the SB with 3 limpers is a bad move.

I would bet on the flop, probably 150 or so, trying to get it there, I would fold to a reraise and check the turn if get called.

I doubt that he had a 6, on the flop there is a str8 and flush draw, on the turn there are 2 flush draws, slowplaying only makes sense here if he had pocket 66.
Considering the limp preflop I would say he either has the other 4 (45s or something similar), or QJ, KQ, QT, and he thought you are stealing.

Very tough call, I think you are either tied or ahead here

Fold pre flop you had no business calling with K4 even for 25 chips. Then to bet out with bottom pair is not good play. Just let these hands go early on and lose just your small blind, instead of potentially going bust on a hand you should not even be playing.
