Default Question about M in turbo tourneys....

At what value of M do you have to be in the red zone in a turbo. Today i played a turbo and actually didn't get any hands period, not even remotely playable. I eventually was at 1000 chips with 100/200 25 ante, utg so i decided to go all in with J9s. should i have went all in with an even crappier hand earlier? believe it or not that was the most decent hand i saw the entire tourney

    MTT Turbos are crazy.

Doesn't change your M, tho, just makes it shrink faster. If anything your stack has less power than in a normal tourney, so a move based on the chance you'll fold people out is probably a mistake. On the other hand, these tourneys are about the only place you can move in with 88/AJ types, get two calls and still be ahead.

Unrelated to M based on the play in the 20/2 Turbo they do on UB, I'm hard pressed to lay down TT/AK+ under any circumstances. the other day I went out with TT, opps had 86 and AT, and really I didn't blame either one the way the hand played out, although 86's initial blind steal was a bit ill conceived.
