Strength of Hands?

Finally broke ITM twice this weekend and actually won double my buy-in in both MTTs I entered.

As usual I always question my bustout hands.

ONE: Limpers to me in SB. I complete with Qc, 10c.
FLOP. 9c - Jc -10h ; Floded to me, I bet out 1/2 pot
EP limper pushes AI, we are about even in chips
Turn and River are blanks. He show JK and I'm gone.

Was this hand strong enough to call the AI. I figured I had enough outs to call it even if it did bust me.

TWO: I push AI w/ KK UTG. blinds are at 1200/800. I have about 11k.
BB call and flips AA. -- gg, nh. see ya later.

My buddy says I should have just raised 3BB with the KK. I figured it was a good a time as any and figured at the min. I pick up the blinds.

Depends on the limper. If he was a guy that likes to buy blinds a lot with AI then I dont know. In general I wouldnt take a draw heads up unless I had at least top pair and a good kicker. But its situational. If you were low on chips, maybe. You did have a lot of outs though.

Thats poker. You took a good chance to double up and just didnt make it there. Shrug and say nice hand and try again another time. THe poker gods said "ITM is good enough for you today."

I agree with the 3x on the KK, but its usually meant to draw more peoople into the hand.. not to mention, what are you going to do? Fold KK to a re-raise?? You're going all-in here regardless so in the end, you ran into a monster. No mistake in your play there.

You had most likely 9-21 outs. As it turns out you had 17. I think it's a good call unless your M is still very high if you fold and probably even then.

KK hand - raise 3x or AI. Doesn't matter you're losing all your chips here.
