Default Just a general question on MTT's

I had only been playing online for a few months, and had limited experience at some (<100) low buy in SNG's and MTT's. I was your typical tight ass rock at the table, but I had mangaged to finish in the money somewhere around 25% of the time in the MTT's and about 33% of the time in the SNG's, with no BIG paydays in the MTT's. Looking back, and knowing how I play now, I had no idea what the hell I was doing. But anyways, I had a fairly good run one week and decided to buy into a $50+5..... finished THIRD out of 660 people. The only thing I really remember is I didn't take a real bad beat and only handed one out with JJ against QQ ( I was short stacked at the time, already in the top 30 or so, so I pushed it all in and it hit.) That doubled me up, but by no means was I in good chip position after that. Since then, I can consistently make the money in MTT's probably 50% of the time and have made top 20 and a few final tables as of late. Do I chalk that first one up to beginners luck, or can a tight ass actually make it that far with just one break? Sorry for the rambling. [/b]
