    Default Can't handle aggression :(

I was playing on a poker room skin in a 5+0.5 SNG
The guy to my left was aggroing me to death when I was a pot with him. He'd pay me off when I had a hand, but I couldn't steal blinds at all and continuation bets were always raised :(

So it went heads-up. He raised post-flop on every hand for 5 hands. I was on a 2.5K stack and he had a 7.5K stack
Blinds were 200/400 or maybe 400/800 already
I was in the BB with 24o and checked
    flop comes 349 rainbow
I check to check-raise because he bets every time
he bets almost half my chips
I go all-in because I'm sick of him
    he turns over J9
    end of tourney

Good play given your read, you just got unlucky.

Grab a hold of your balls and push over the top

Push pre flop to give him something to think about. Heads up I will play almost any two cards. You have to figure when you have crap cards the possibility is that your opponent has as well. You need to be more aggressive in a heads up scenario against players like this.

    Marry Me Cheryl!!!
This was often a problem i got.
I'd see a player being either aggro, or making good moves during the game and show too much respect too him if we got short handed.
I found that the solution was often to stamp on him. I grew some balls and started pushing over him, rerasing him with crap.
He got the message. This is something imo that can only be practiced by playing heads up poker. (need to find a site that does it) Once you are used to this and arent afriad to lose making a play like this it wont bother you that hes overly aggro at any point.
    Unlucky on the hand btw.

If the blinds were 200/400 or 400/800 go AI every time your SB preflop.

If the difference between yours and your opponent stack is 3:1 or more and the blinds are big (both have less than 10 bets), it is correct for both of you to just push every hand.

The move with 24 is fine, you just got unlucky on the timing. But that's the beauty of playing with high aggression - occasionally people decide to fight back, and if the stars are aligned properly it's right when you have them by the short hairs.

A suggestion: if a guy is doing this to you repeatedly, start checking to him after you raise pre-flop with the intent of check-raising. And I mean a good-sized check-raise, something that will make him pause and think it over. Especially do this if you flop top pair/good kicker or better, but even if you don't, this is a handy move to have in your back pocket. He'll first interpret the check as a sign you're scared of him and try to bet you out. When you open up with both barrels afterward, it may surprise him, and he may stop coming over the top of you so much.

    top pair?

I think 'rilla has the best advice

The thing is, that when the blinds were low four-handed ON THE BUBBLE, I'd go over the top of him with a big raise and he'd STILL call with crap and then bet big on the round. That's how I doubled through him with a flopped flush.

    He's super lagg...
I guess if I just pushed every time I have better-than-average hand he can't sit and wait for a much-better-than-average hands. What affected me is that I was telling all the hands to someone else watching it, so I'd be embarassed pushing with Q6o :D

Pushing ANY hand preflop seems EV- esp if it's 34o or worse since those hands are 33% against a random hand
