    Default What's your play here?

I don't have the hh, sorry.

I am UTG with Ad Kh early in a $5 MTT. I limp then call a 2XBB raise and there are four to the flop. I have about 2,200 in chips.

    Pot is $290

    Flop is:
    Kd 8d 7d

I'm first to act and put out a $200 bet. One folds and one calls, the button, with about 2,000 in chips, throws back a $1,000 reraise.

    What do you do here?

    Fold.

TPTK sucks against this action in a limp pot.

    I pushed, and both folded.

My thought process was: While there may be two made flushes out against me, neither can be all that secure since I have Ad. If there really are eight diamonds already accounted for, I don't really want to see more cards here.

As it turns out, the reraiser said he had AK, neither one a diamond, obviously. other guy, I assume, had a medium flush.

Early on in the tourney I am willing to risk an all-in here, in hopes of doubling up early or picking up a big pot if opp folds. Late in the tourney, I would fold this hand and not risk it against a possible flush or set.

I doubt anyone's folding a medium flush, especially in a low buyin tourney.

I would have Pushed based on my equity against the average player in low buyin tourneys- they could easily be dominated.

However, I would have Check-Raised the Flop, unless I knew that one of the players would be Aggressive enough to reraise a bet.
What's the difference between a large cheese pizza and a poker player?

A large cheese pizza can feed a family of four.

I push that. There is a chance you have the best hand, and if you dont you probably have 7 outs minimum, 14 max. Add to that folding equity and you have a winner.

    thanks for the replies.

I was wondering why you would go for a check-raise here. I'm out of position and had limp-called with AK, there's no reason for anyone to believe I have a hand that good, and checking a three-flush flop shows fear. Often it seems that first to act with a three-flush flop can win the pot outright.
