Default Short stack push. Should I have waited?

After a bad beat and a hard (but correct) laydown I was down to 570 and couldn't get any cards or position to push poor cards, because of others raising.
Then two hands before I get the BB for 320 I decide to push my stack and luck when UTG folds. Desperate, but should I hope and wait for a better hand next or in the BB
SB is also short stacked (750) while the others are medium stacked. I expekted SB and BB to call, but hoped for only BB if SB has nothing.

10+1$ SnG 7 players remaining Blinds at 320/160
    my stack = 570

    Dealt in UTG+1
    :Jc:

    SB posted small blind 160
    BB posted big blind 320
    UTG folds
Hero went all in for 570
    MP folds
    CO folds
    Button folds
    SB calls for 410 :Ks::Th:
    BB folds

    Flop-Turn-River:
    - -

    Showdown
    SB
    - Two pair - A's and T's
    Hero
    _ Two pair - A's and 7's

Hero left tournament in 7'th place.

Push with any face card here.

If you fold this hand here, next hand, you would be right in pushing 9 high. This hand is >>>>>>> 9 high, plus you need to fight through fewer players.

ok, thanks. Good to hear I do something right now and then

Frustrating game. Tight table, but no cards to get aggressive with. Tried with medium cards (A4s and Q9s) and got punished by a straight and a set of J's slowplaying. Then I got 62o two times + 32s + 94o and 93o in the next 5 hands and finally my J7s came along and it was over.

How many people were in the Sng ?

I would have waited, in the next 2 hands there is a decent chance you will get a hand that is better then J7

7 pepole were left of the 10 who started. Blind at 160/320 soon to move up to 640/320.

I could hope for a better hand in the next hand, but that would be my last chance before the BB would force me all in anyway. Also UTG had folded in this hand, not much, but at least one player was out.

J7s is a better then average hand (64/169)

You have a better then 50% chance to get a better hand in the next 2 hands, with the small chance that you will be folded into in the BB, buying you another orbit.

I am willing to risk being blinded out then to take my chance here with such an easily dominated hand

I like the push, but only because your stack is so small compared to the blinds. You have the face card, the chance of the flush, and the chance that everyone folds, buying you another round of blinds to wait for a better push hand. You also have the slim chance that a better hand calls and you suckout. It's a tough spot to be in either way, but I think you played it right.

Edit: to clarify that the blinds make all the difference here. If you push that with the blinds at 50-100, I'd call you a donkey.

And I would accept my donkey status
