Obviously you push every set early on.

No chance I get away from that.

It's not a bad play. The only problem I have with it is that the only time you're getting called is when you're beat, and I think you can achieve the same thing with a smaller bet. Say you raise it to 500. You can fairly reliably put an opp on the str there if they call or reraise. At that point, I'm in check/fold mode unless I hit the boat.

It's possible that they will decide to slowplay to let you put more money in on the turn, at which point you should obviously take the free card unless you hit.

You don't think an over pair calls there?

Yes, an overpair probably calls the 500. I don't think a thinking player calls a push on that board with just an overpair. I guess it depends a tad on the stakes this was played at.

Further, half of the overpairs can be pretty much ruled out from the preflop action. I think a caller is much more likely to have A3 (or in the case of the blinds even 63) than an overpair. I rule out AA-JJ completely. TT is low on my list as well. 99-66 is possible, but I'd rather limit my losses here, as it is still early.

I guess that's what I like about the push, I think it's pretty tough to lay down something like 99/TT with an over bet like that. Smells like pair + draw or draw + over to me.

Two pair also calls here, obviously 22. And you rule out bigger pairs, but people do slow play, especially UTG with AA/KK.

I think the push is too agressive here, you want to extract the most amount of chips, while elminating the sraws, a 500 raise is good
