Default How to play a lil boat

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    MP3 (t430)
    Hero (t1720)
    Button (t1725)
    SB (t2240)
    BB (t1450)
    UTG (t1090)
    UTG+1 (t1685)
    MP1 (t1690)
    MP2 (t1470)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 9, 9.
    4 folds, MP3 calls t30, Hero raises to t120, 1 fold, SB calls t105, BB calls t90, MP3 folds.

    Flop: (t390) Q, Q, 6 (3 players)
SB bets t120, BB folds, Hero raises to t420, SB calls t300.

    Turn: (t1230) K (2 players)
SB bets t330, Hero calls t330.

    River: (t1890) 9 (2 players)
    SB bets t1370 (All-In)

SB had been continuation betting his way to the chip-lead, so I figured my nines were probably good on the flop. Besides, I was the bettor and might take a stab if he checks. So if he has the flush draw or the queen... he probably checks.
When he called, I played him for the flush draw.
I have a deficiency when it comes to folding to a 1/4 pot bet, so I called the turn even with the scare card. He could have been trying to scare me off there.
The 9h gave me a full, so I'm thinking of how to get all my chips in, and he does it for me.
Does he have a boat or a flush? Pretty much any boat beats me, and he could very well be playing me for a flush... that explains the AI. The other option is that he figures I'm capable of folding the flush and he's got nothing at all.

Fold the turn. Call the river.

Q6/Q9 wouldn't be playing preflop. You beat any other Qx except KQ. You beat 66. You beat the flush. KK (KQQ) reraises you preflop [and if they didn't, I pay it off here]. There's way too many hands that make this play here to lay it down.
    I run a training site...

    I'd limp here pre flop.
What am I missing? If you fold now, the turn call is brutal.

Exactly... there is no way you should've seen the river on this. I'd bet $20, this guy has a face card with a heart on it. To give the guy a lot of respect I'd say AhKo.

I cant fault raising from CO with 99 with one limper to win the pot there or at least shake off the blinds.

However you should definitly fold the flop.

But for me the worst part of your post is
SB had been continuation betting his way to the chip-lead, so I figured my nines were probably good on the flop. Besides, I was the bettor and might take a stab if he checks. So if he has the flush draw or the queen... he probably checks.

It seems that you are adjusting your view on what your opponent has according to what you wish he would have.
Continuation bets usually come after a preflop agression, calling a raise and raising from EP after the flop is usually an indication that he has a hand - JJ, AQ, KQ etc...

If we ignore for a second the fact that you should have on the flop then your reraise was marginal to elimnate a draw.
You put him on a flush draw after the flop, and then the flush hits, he bets - you dont change your read just because the flush hits. His play all along indicates that he has a hand, I would guess either AQ (possible AhQ) or JhJ.
Your call on the turn does not make sense. If we ignore for a second your 2 outs (5% to hit) then you are behind or he is bluffing or semi bluffing. You have to fold, or if you are convinved that he is bluffing reraise him AI.

On the river you are probably ahead and you have to call

Given the pre flop raise, I like the re raise on the flop. The turn is where things go wrong here.
