    Was I reraising too agressively ?

    I don't think so. I think any raise and villian lets that go.
    IMO .... his is no more than a little feeler bet really (120 into a 450 pot?!) hoping to take down the pot down but giving himself a cheap fold option if re-raised.
    Any merit in a smooth call and give him the chance to fire again on the river?

    I think the reraise is right because the board is so ragged, and it might look like a bluff. And I think if he's holding a K he'll call this down- probably had middle pair and just wanted to take a stab.

    i don't see a problem with it. if he has KQ or something he is going to call you down, you are just unlucky his hand wasnt that good.

    this is one of the reasons i like raising my draws on the turn. i win the pot if they dont have a hand, and i can win a big pot if they call and i hit.

    If you had position I'd maybe say smooth call and hope to get more on the end, plus maybe he improves, but OOP this is about the best you can do I think.
