Multi-tabling sng
I play the single table 5.50 sngs at stars which can last 1.25 hours due to starting chips (1500) and the tight play. this just seems like a long time to me. the only way to play a significant amount of sng is to play more than one at a time.
my questios:
1. how many do you play at once
2. how many do you play in a day (persons that have a full time job)
3. what do you take into consideration when multi-tabling - strategy
I'm relatively new to sngs and poker so maybe i should just play one at a time. but after work if i play 3 sng one after the other, thats like mid-night. so i have two choices multi-table or turbos.
turbos are ok because alot of players get in them and think they have to gamble early, or they just like to gamble, so just sit back and let them take each other out. in about 15 -20 minutes your down to 4/5 players, the whole thing last about 35- 45 minutes. the difficulty comes when you get a table of solid players or ones who at least know "tight early" strategy. you end up with a all-in fest with 6/7 left.
when i multi-table the 5.50 sng i've decided the best thing is to wait 15-20 minutes (loose table) or 25-35 (tight table) before joining 2nd tournament. this way i should've developed some reads and take some notes on most of the players.
