    Default Turbo Tournaments

Im sorry but I can not find the previous posts regarding Turbo Tournaments. At least none that are very detailed.

How do you survive in turbo tournaments?

The best I was able to do was 6th out of 280 people and thats out of at least 20 tournaments!! And thats first time I have placed on the final table.

Not because others were playing "smarter" than me, at least I dont htink... But because the blinds start at 10/15 and then in no time they are at 400/800 1000/2000 4000/8000 and eventually not to long your at 20,000 / 10,000 !!!

within 2 hours the tournament is over!! Thats a fast tourny for 280 people!

Should I be more risky in certain situations? Like I hit AQ spades and Raised 200 pre flop early on and i was at a 6000 stack (Stack leader) and two guys with 3,000 chips whent all in when the flop was something like 2 spade, 10 diamond, king spade.....

So I figure I have 50% chan-ce ((someone on these forums said 53%)

    Was that a bad call?

Would you call someone all in with AQ spade with K2 spades on table + 10 Diamond?

    4 jack outs
    3 possible ace outs
    9 Spade outs

13 definate outs, and 3 possible outs (probable)

Further more is there a difference in tournament vs normal game? would you call that in a tournament but not a normal game?

Why is there such a difference in tournament vs normal??

Turbo touraments are just shit. There's nothing you ca really do once the levels get higher. You need double ups with 50/50 a lot of times. Just a crap shoot.

If you have 9 outs for flush, then you only have 3 outs for straight.

Insta-Call your getting 3:1 on a monster draw and even if you lose your still in the tourney.

A although unlikely might be an out.

As for turbo's, a good player can definetly make money at them, but not nearly as high of an ROI as regular tourneys.
