I was in a MTT 20$ at stars last night, got itm and then got lots of tips and advice from poeople in the FTR irc room, would never gotten so far without that, gotten to 15. with a 150$. Know I did some bad stuff in the end, but only playing poker for about I week I don't think it's that bad.

This morning I joined a 3 table SnG 5$ buyin, used the same stuff people had been giving me advice to do last night. Final table I was knocked down to 8BB, went AI a few times with steals that worked. Then I doubled on a good hand, and I think I played the way I should. Some guy went AI on me when I flopped four of a kind, kinda lucky there, but all in all I think I won cause of playing good poker thanks to advice from FTR people and the good guides that are here. And cause of that I got #1 in the end and won 50$! Anyways, just wanted to say thanks, really appriciate it, would never learn poker this fast without this place.

Best advice i got from here was to not post HH in the irc channel...

btw, congrats on the wins. Best thing to do now is repeat it. I'm not trying to be a smart ass, really. You should try to apply the same techniques again and again, until you're comfortable with them.

The best advice i think someone could have given me after a win or two early on in my poker days (before i started reading this forum) would have been to not get carried away, and to continue playing within your bankroll. If someone had told me that, i think i would never have had to play 50c SnGs to rebuild my bankroll...hehe.
