    Default BAD BAD WEEK

I have for a long period been very succesfull in SnGs (been in the money 61% of the time with only 1st and 2nd places) at 5,50$
Then I had 2 weeks off not playing poker and is now back but not for good.
I have in the last week lost 12 SnGs and only been ITM 2 times for a 2nd and 3rd place and im beginning to be really frustrated because I dont know what im doing wrong (if I am)?
    anyone also seen this themselves?
    is it just variance?
    any good advice?

    Thanks

That was a really good post :P there (and long), It makes me think about a lot of thinks.
The thing about breaking something did I also do before I read it, my logitech mouse doesnt have a good health after I lost my 11th SnG in a row
I have max lost 8 in a row but this time I just became a psychopath after loosing so many and because I had been doing so good for a long period and suddenly cant figure out what the hell is wrong, I play strong and tight, make good notes about other players and push the weak players to fold and everytime I become chipleader untill we are 6 players left suddenly I loose every hand I play (and have even been looking for changes in the game structure).

Sounds like you don't have more than 1 or 2 months of playing experience. It also sounds like you are tilting, which happens to everyone when they start. I tilted away half my bankroll in a day twice before reading Rilla's stickey post along with some BR management posts that helped straighten out my game. You cant always avoid streaks of 8 or 10 losses in a row, but by learning not to tilt you will shorten those streaks and feel much better even when you lose so long as you played good.

Im now 56 SnG's without a 1st place and only a few 3rd positions, getting every bad beat in the book, AA getting cracked by 93o etc, hopefully it will change soon.

Maybe it is variance...maybe it isn't. Study your HH's...maybe even post your HH's. If you are playing shitty then we know why. If you are playing good, then we know why. Regardless you will get nowhere posting like this. Sure you may need to vent, and hell if you must then go do it (preferrably not here though).

But it will truly do you no good.

Figure out what it is...and then deal with it however you need to. If you are playing fine...then just continue playing..if you aren't playing out of your BR you are still fine.

If you are playing shitty then fix it....and keep playing.

If you are completely fed up and disgusted at the game...then maybe poker isn't for you.

Also as a side note....when I was sick for the better part of a month I took a month and a half off poker..came back and felt like I was relearning the game. I took it slow...analyzed everything..reread books/posts...etc. Make sure you are on top of your game.

I have about 1,5 year of experience (with a couple of months not playing at all) and about 6 months experience with SnGs.
Im not tilting for long periods, that dont happens for me (when I say I dont tilt I dont mean much about it) especially at 5+0,50 SnGs because they are so cheap (I still have respect for the money) and I never play more than 2-3 SnGs a day.
It just made me mad because I have been ITM 61% of the time in 4 months and then suddenly everything changes. When I have a bad period I normally watch some WPT and WSOP for a day and read a book and it helps a lot but this time it just didnt.

being ITM for 61% of the time over 4 months just means you were on track to get heller pwnt by a huge downswing to fix your extraordinarily high ITM.
