    Default More moeny in SnG?

Is there more money for a good player in SnG or regular Ring games?

Depends what exactly you're good at. I made $150 today in SnGs. At the level I'm comfortable playing cash games that'd be VERY unlikely. Pretty much impossible. But if I was just decent in a 2/4 NL game 150 would be easy.
For me SnGs are the way to go by far. I think there's more to made in the cash games if you're good at them. I'm not a losing player in cash games but I don't make money at a high enough rate for it to be worth my time.

Cash games are just making me mad....

I normally win on both 25nl and 50nl now. (Finally was able to bump my game up to handle 50nl).

After about 1 hour or 90 minutes I have normally doubled up both 25nl and 50nl...

But one bad beat and ouch.

885 hit. I had 8A suited, raised 100% of pot, guy called.

    then a 5 hits. 88 55 ..... he had 55 ...... bet $10, I raised to $20 he all in i call.

    I figured he had 88 555 vs my 888 55 ...... but nope, he had 4 kind...

    Costed me $75 !!

I think I am going to try to stick with SnG tournys'.

It seems I can win at every level from 5+1 sng up to 54 + 5 sng. (Thats highest I have played so far.)

Ive taken first at every level, and unless I get bad beat i normally place top 3 at least.

Statistically unlikely someone will always win...or in your case double up within 90 minutes....every poker player should know that.

Keep playing and only time will tell if you excel at one more than another

    ditto

I can break even at NL $25 cash games but no more. Great for clearing bonuses, but that's it. For actually turning out a profit in poker I reckon SNGs are better for me because:

    1) somehow the risk/reward in an SNG gets me thinking in terms of how many big blinds I have, what place, stacks, the tournament position etc. rather than about the money, which means i'm thinking clearer.

    2) If I get a bad beat, I don't tilt. If i'm 3-4 tabling SNGs, the bad beats get so routine that if I get one, I just say "process matters, not results" and just move on. But a bad beat in a NL game will usually tilt me.

I break even on cash games, but have always made a steady profit SnGoing. I'm not afraid to gamble in a SnG but it seems with cash games I tighten up too much because I feel like its money out of my pocket every time I bet or raise... if that makes sense.
