    Default 45 man SitnGo's

I play the 27 man Sit&Go's on Poker Stars pretty regularly. The also have 45 man tournament, however they are either for $1 (too little) or $6 turbos (crapshoot). Does anyone else know of any other sites that offer a 45 man tournament for at least a $10 buy in and isnt a turbo?

btw I have been writing to PS for some time now bugging them about getting some of these 45 man tournaments, if you are interested, please shoot them an email at [email protected]

The Turbos arent as much of a crapshoot as you may think they are. Because alot of people feel pressure from the blinds in turbos they make more mistakes by pushing marginal hands or chasing what seems like good draws ... if you play it fairly solid early on the field thins out pretty fast and your solid non-maniacal play ill have earned you a decent mid-level stack in the least.

Ditto on the dollar ones. The few i have played (more into the 6 dollar buyin) have paid off ... same approach as with the turbo except that since it is such a low buyin the players arent as serious and do tend to chase and play alot of hands ... many opportunites to take chips away from people who dont put much value into them.

I'd love to see a 10 dollar buyin 45man game.... ditto... also would love to see a 10 table game offered or a 6 or 5 dollar buyin 45man game that isnt a turbo ... would basically be good to see alot more choice n these and i think stars will eventually put it in they are always adding more types of games to thier site.

a MTT is a large tournament that starts at a scheduled time. it usually has 45, 100 or even more players.

a sit&go is a tournament that starts as soon as there are a designated number of players 9, 27, 45 etc.

the 45 man tourneys on pokerstars are listed under sit&go's...

Thank you for the insight. I have only played poker for 6 days now. Does a straight beat a flush? Any more tips or definitions would be helpful.

    Haha...

You just got what you dished out, down tiger down.

In any case you are right it is a MTT ... with a cutoff amount of entries i guess...

Maybe we can call it a mini-MTT and start a whole new online poker sub-category of tournaments!!!

    BTW Protell,

Stars did actually add a whole new slew of multi-table SNG's today.

    a 2 table and a 3 table option for the 6-man SNG's (12+1)

    a 45 man SNG for non-turbo 5+50 ... as well as a Turbo and non-turbo 10+1 each.

a Pot-Limit Dollar game and a Turbo Pot Limit dolar game haha fun little time wasters.

Looks like you werent probably the only one sending emails, or maybe they read this board haha.... in anycase got what ya asked for.

    Seeya!

i have been writing to PS for the last couple weeks every single day asking for these tournaments. i wrote them from multiple email addresses, even making up new email addresses to write them so it would seem like multiple people all requesting this (embarrassingly pathetic i know).

    persistence pays off though!

Well i played the 2nd 11+1 Turbo that started up this morning ... got 3rd place for 81 dollar reward, not a bad return on the investment.

The 6-man tables got my eye hehe...
