Default Autodetect table and display PokerTracker stats

I've read a lot of posts here on PokerTracker, and just answered a post that I realized most of the people on this site would be interested in. So pardon me for a repeat.

The question was how to get your opponents stats out of PokerTracker while you're playing. The answer was to use the Tourney Time window.

    That's the hard way.

    Go to www.pokeracesoftware.com
Download PAHUD (Poker Ace Heads Up Display) for free. When you've used it for a while and you know how much you love it (and you will), donate some $ to the guy. Transfer through his Stars account.

This will take your PokerTracker stats and display them right on top of the table while you play. And it auto-detects the table and players. You do nothing. Just run PT and have it import. Run PaHud and it does the rest.

If you need help setting it up for use with PartyPoker or PokerStars or any of the other sites it supports, you can ask me OR the guy has AIM and answers that and emails within minutes.

I am not affiliated with him or his product in any way. I just think it's the most awesome thing on the planet and want to share.

P.S. Did I mention that anyone with any self-respect will kick something down to him if they like his product?

Why is it useless for SNG's? I use it all the time there.

Becuase peoples stas will by dynamic throughout the course of the sng. The only stat that is applicable to all stages is their ITM% and ROI which will give you a little sense of what kind of player they are but other than that, all the stats are completely meaningless.

I am 5 totally different people during the early, middle, bubble, ITM and HU stages.

    COMPLETELY different.

Yeah I downloaded the free PT and was in the process of messing around with it when I realized that it might tell me I was winning tons of chips with AT, or losing tons of chips with it, and it wasn't going to help me either way.

Wow. Okay. After 50,000 hands I have a pretty good picture of my playing style. But I guess that's only helpful if you read it. And if you care.

I'm sure that's true at the levels you play. At $10, $20 and $30 SNG's, people's actions are not that variable. Since that is where I play, I find it extremely useful information.

Of course, there's always the minor benefit of seeing what cards they mucked at showdown, without hunting for the information or even taking my eyes off the table. Again, that's only useful if you're paying attention to such things. If you care what kind of stuff your opponent chases with. What type of cards they're likely to play. From what position and for what raise.

But I guess that's of limitted usefulness to you since you change all the time. I'm sure all of your opponents are as flexible as you are. I'm lucky that such information is helpful against my opponents.

Just yesterday I folded AA twice preflop because I was hunting for mucked cards

Hey all, I thought I'd chime in here and let you all know about a new feature in PokerAce Hud.

You can now filter hands by the number of players sitting at the table using the new Player Ranges. For example, you can set up a player range for 3-6 players. This means, that when you are at a table with 3-6 players, the stats you see will only be from hands that contained 3-6 players.

This makes PA Hud much more useful for tournaments... at least SnG tournaments anyway. Now you can have separate stats for heads up, three handed, four handed, and full.

Note: In the current version (0.31), these aren't refreshed automatically when the number of players drops into a different player range. You have to restart PokerAce Hud or wait until the hand refresh range kicks in. The next release will watch the player count and automatically refresh the stats when a new player range has been reached.

I still plan on adding additional stats for tournament play, but my efforts are currently focused on adding additional sites. Hopefully within the next couple months better tournament support will be available.

There is a tutorial available that goes into greater details on all the features in PA Hud:
