Different sites, different styles?

    Default Different sites, different styles?

Ok, so I'm pretty new at this.

Am I just dumb/fish/crazy or does my suspicion that what works at the tables in one site gets you busted out of the tournament early on in another?

I usually play freerolls, so they may not "count" as real tournaments for you, but anyway. Testing low-cost tournaments at "my" sites I really don't find much of a difference. Where people start throwing AI with 3 6 os at the frerolls they do they same at the 2 + 0.20 tournaments. Where basically only those with playable hands call a 4XBB bet early on they also seem to do so at the "cheap" tournaments.

Am I crazy or are my observations valid?

I don't play freerolls but different sites have differenly skilled players. For example: FullTilt is a much tougher site to play than PokerStars or PartyPoker.

I don't think it's a good idea to get into a midset that different sites have different style players. Blind structures are going to change the style of play somewhat, that's true, but... you can have a very passive table at Stars and a very aggro table at Party sometimes. Part of the fun of MTTs is that you don't get to choose what table to sit at, so you have to change your play depending on the table you are at.
