I was chip leader after the rebuy hour. Card dead for next hour - finally make a play against new chip leader at table who was saying take my chips with a min raise steal attempt in CO. Blinds were 200/400. I reraise to somewhere around 3x his bet (somewhere around 2400) with A8 on bigblind - which I thought would let him know I knew he had crap and to give up a small pot, instead he calls. Flop comes 677, I bet a little under the pot (4k ish) - feeling confident I still have the best hand, he calls. Turn is a T. I bet a little under the pot again (9k ish), thinking I still have the best hand, and even if I don't he should fold unless he has a monster (and that I have outs now if he does call) - he calls. River is a blank (maybe a 2?), and I now get a little too aggressive and fire one last bullet representing a pair over TT and bet 12k leaving me with 10k. He calls with his 8Tos. A little too aggressive me. Out pretty soon after when my 57s runs into AA with a flop of 349 two of my suit and I don't win the race when we get all of our chips in after that flop. That's twice this last week that I have butchered my chances at going deep because I couldn't put on the brakes when I needed to - gotta patch that leak back up.

yeah chardrian, i have been playing in it and have seen you doing well... good luck to you in the future.

on that A8 hand u really have to slow down on the turn. You shouldnt be betting because you have the best hand. If you really do have the best hand, you would want to show it down for cheap at that point.

I didn't mind my turn bet - should usually take it down. By the river - yeah I needed to cool it. Back at it tonight after a night of brief writing last night.
