    Default AJ so0t3d $16 pre-flop?

This was the situaltion. $10.00-$20.00 buy-in at my local homegame, I'm sitting on about $35.00. First to act raises to $4.00, second to act raises to $16.00 (all-in). I'm in 4th looking at A(h)J(h) for about half my stack with 5 more people to act behind me (2 very aggressive players that would re-raise all-in if calling). I folded and find out that the fish who raised $16.00 had KQ off and i would have won with Ace high. But is it even smart to stay in at that point? People told me i was a moron and should have definatly called.

I'm a rather tight very aggressive player who does not like to be in a pot if i'm not trapping or the aggressor. Without a made hand putting $16.00 into a pot with $3.00 on top of the blinds seems like a very stupid idea. Also it would have been very easy to be dominated by AK-AQ there. What do you guys think?

Easy fold. Play poker not gambling.

If they told you to jump off a bridge would you do it? I always wanted to say that. Mainly because I would jump off a bridge if someone told me not to.

99% of the poker players on the planet have no f'ing idea what they're talking about. Your friend who called you a moron is one of them. I may be another. Figure that one out.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Very easy fold. Just because you found out that you would've won does not mean it's the right call.

very easy fold. AJs does not stand up to many hands that do that. actually, the only hand it does stand up to really is KQs or KQo.

Hum, by reading the title I figured you were playing at least $2/$4NL. AJs stinks vs pre-flop agression - AK, AQ, AA-JJ are all just too likely.
Up my bankroll - buy Saints Row.

    Fold.

But the question is, how much money did you take? Because allin for a buy-in with KQo is free money. People think calling with AJs is a good idea is even more free money.

As for what they said about calling and so on. Allin rumbles in poker when its not your money is fun to watch. Today I had 2 people screaming "allin!" while being put on the spot. But my mind said no. So question is, who to trust? They wouldnt say "allin" without thinking long and hard about it, would they? Not without a solid read, right?

Oh, I forgot, when you know that a hand (any hand) would have won. Its very easy to claim people are morons for not calling.
