ok, on sunday i was talking with a friend about running up a small roll to large amounts of money fast. He said he could do it better than me, i said no way. So we each put our money were our mouths r and made a bet. The rules are simple, starting with a 500 dollar br, play for 4 days, the player with the most money and the end of 4 days wins the bet. Today i played 121 sngs with a 27% roi....this was at the 22's and my br is at 1.2k now. Tomorrow i really bust it and hope to hit 2.5k. I am shooting for 6k by friday. I will win this bet, i can play more tables and longer hours than this other guy, as long as i run ok i think i got it covered. Wish me luck..............trik

Yes there are a lot better players on the 55s then 33s. Also u get 1k in chips instead of 800.

you have already hijacked this thread so I go on. I started playing the party 55's yesterday without that much of a success. I really had tough time plaing them after playing on stars even though I knew the basic idea how to play on party and also knowing how to play as a short stack. Most of the players seemed to have some kind of understanding how to play even though I could find a some players without any understanding of the game. I want to play on party (multipoker actually) for several reasons so I am working with my game now pretty hard. I will most likely have to spam this forum when I get some descent hands to show

jumping from 800 to 1000 is a big big difference. I dont kno if it "helps" perse. Even if ur moving from 1500 to 1000, it wont be much different from moving from 1500 to 800. PLus lots of pros 8-12 table the 55s.

we are cutting it to a4 day bet because we both have a lot to do on friday. Days 2 and 3 were ok at best, i am only up to 3k, but i am leading by about 400 bucks. Time to step up to the 55s today and put it away..........

No bitch, i won the bet, i was just out of town most of the week and forgot about it.....I won it, ran the 500 to 4.3k, had it up over 5k but i dumped 20 buyins at the 33's. My buddy ran his up to a crappy 2.5k, which was not even close.......... Ask vq, i told him i won when i got back in town. anyone want to make another bet similar to this one? We should do it with a group of people, it would be fun. We could do a pokerstars one where you start with 100 bucks and see who can run it up the highest. It would a fun ftr bet.....whos in?

You ran $500 up to 4.3k in 4 days? Playing SNGs? What type of risks did you take? Sounds to me like your risk of ruin must have been quite high. How many hours and games did you play in total?

How the hell do you play 121 sng's in a day? someone please explain. I mean lets say you 8 table, you'd have to play for around 15 hours to do that, and you'd have to 8 table!

If you 4 table, you can play like 8~10 per hour.

If you're beating up the 33s and have the roll, move on up...the water is fine. I actually skipped the 33s for the most part and moved straight to 55s. I think the 200 chips do make a differenct... gives you a little more room to work. The comp is better but they are still plenty of donks, IMO.
