    Default Farking pocket pairs...

Comments on the plays in the various streets would be very much appreciated before the final decision. In particular, how to play a PP when bet into, and there's an overcard to your pair on the board.

Opp - tight; didn't participate in many if any hands before this.

These hands always seem to end with me folding. I flat called the flop bet to see if he'd fire the second barrel on the turn. By coming over the top I thought I'd learn where he stood or maybe even push him off the pot (looking for a cheap showdown)... but no, he flat called.

Fold on the flop. No chance to continue with this unless you flop a set or an overpair. Even with an overpairon a flop like 2-3-5 you still oughtta be careful.

Raise or fold the flop. You say the opp is tight, so a fold is OK. If you raise back here, he'll more than likely fold if he has overs. If you choose to call, you are giving him another chance to catch.

With the J22 flop there is a good chance you have the best hand, but then you need to raise to know. He just called preflop so Ax or smaller pair are possible holdings. Then he bets 100 to a 240 pot so you could try a raise. If rerasied by either player it's an easy fold. If called, slow down when the ace comes. Two over cards including A = bad.
You tried to raise on the turn, but the raise of +200 to a 540 pot was too small I think. He only needs to call another 200 to a 740 pot. You should raise more if you are going to raise him out here, or you should call again given the pot odds and his weak betting. Your fold on the river was good when you had stayed in the hand that long.

I tend to fold on the flop without better reads. Also after your turn raise he called which pretty much tells you you are beat. I would think he has a J and is hoping you have the A.
