    Default Two $10+1 Hands

I read in another thread that posting hand histories was a great way to improve. Here are two that I had a problem with today. The first is when I flopped a small flush. The second is an all in call with many outs. I'm pretty new....so take it easy on me!! Both are $10+1.

I read somewhere that when you flop a baby flush, it is good to wait until the turn to make a bigger bet in case another spade comes. How should I have played this? It turns out a paid him off and lost to As7s and was behind from the start.

With the amount of chips I was down to, I decided this was a good spot with all of the outs I had. Ended up losing, but did I play this ok?

    1) I raise the flop and push the turn. Played ok though.

    2) I ran this hand on a simulator and the only reasonable thing your ahead of is A9. I fold this and take my chances with my 560. You've still got 10bb so things aren't that bad.

If FARTSOFTEN hadnt pushed I'm all in.

Hand 1 - I NEVER slow play a baby f;ush for the exact reason you mention. Why give a big spade a free card? Saying that, you were destined to go broke here.

Hand 2 - I gambool here for sure. nh

On hand #1 I would raise, you can't slowplay a babyflush. And why would you not lay down the hammer on the flop when you probably have the best hand on the flop? Anyways if you raise the flop, you can get info on whether someone else also hit the flush.

hand #2.... it's your choice, i think the call was fine, I think it's just A9

    1- check raise
2- immediatley move in with absolutely no hesitation omg

Hand 1 - you were porked from the get-go. Play is fine, although I might raise the flop (the min-check-raise... gotta love it). I don't know if I call on the river, you're almost certainly paying off a higher spade. I can't imagine what else he would have. Flopping the bigger flush is unlucky, but even if he doesn't have that, he has the As.

Hand 2, call and gambool. You're basically a coin-flip vs. most any reasonable holding except a set; you're a slight favorite over several made hands; and you're getting close to 2:1 on the call. This is actually pretty much unfoldable. Even the worst case scenario (him having a set) doesn't make you anything like a 66:33 dog (it's actually 60:40). So call and race. Pot odds, baby. And if he just has a pair or two, you're in good shape.

Hand 1 - dont slowplay a baby flush and give a fourth spade for free to someone with a lone ace or king of spades. Bet out 2/3 of the pot on the flop and push the turn if a nonspade falls.

Hand 2 - pot odds baby! Call and pray.
