This is my problem, i have no reads on this guy and 1) this is the kind of bet I'd probably make with an overpair early in the tournament. 2) this is the kind of bet an idiot who tips off his bets would make with an overpair. So i'd really i'd be playing for a set here. Would a fold here be too tight?

if you ever are going to play a pair for a set, you need to make sure you're getting 10-1 on if you hit..

to call 300 raise u and him both need 3k chips

Yea easy fold, at the very best you're 50/50 but you are a dog to an overpair here. He is probably one of those players who plays his Aces and Kings VERY aggressively.
