Default Push KJ here with no reads?

This is my first hand on this table, so no reads. I'm down to 10BB, and there's 1400 chips in the middle. Should i push or take a flop? I'm desperate for chips here.

Definetly take a flop, KJ is a bad hand.

    Push. easily. Every time(without reads).

It is a bit suspicious that a guy with 10BB limps MP but it is nothing extraordinary, these fish just like to "see the flop", dont be a fish, be a deadly shark.

Seeing as you have a choice of checking with a mediocre hand, take the flop and see. There's no point pushing.

If you were on the button or next to it then you could probably argue the case for allin.

The only time I'd push this from the BB is if I was a big stack and thought I could get a squeeze play out of it to make everyone fold.

yea there is...lots of money in the pot and some players who showed weakness. seems like an easy place to pick up chips.

You're right as usual Gabe. I just read it again, didn't pay attention the first time to the fact that all the limping is from late pos and there's only 2 other players.

I'd still see a flop about half the time and push if the big stack checks and it doesn't look scary tho.

Make like salt and peppa, and push it real good. If you dont push your gonna be out of possition after the flop so get them in there now. Also they then have to call you before they can even try to beat you. You may even be ahead anyway.

LOL, I was about to quote that song too, pppupush it reeaal g00t.

If my soul mate in pushing with any 2 gabefish would have checked I wouldnt really be sure what to believe in in this world. Next thing I know the sky is gonna fall KJ is plenty good to push, especially when the limper has a stack similar to yours. If he calls it will most likely be a flip. That is unfortunately how some fish like to play their PP's. Looking for a flip when they dont have to. grrrr.

It's marginal I think, there are cases whe I check it and cases when I would push.

It's easy chips if they fold.

Another you can't go wrong hand. My problem with the check on this play lately has been that I try to attack the weakness postflop instead of preflop and have had really bad/unlucky results (mostly due to my bad play in being too aggressive without a better read).

Wait 10-15 seconds to give them time to think about it and push 'em in...

The reason to check here is that you are up against 1 short stack and 1 much bigger stack.
Both of these guys have reasons to gamble.

It's got to be close since, they are probably not limping any hands that dominate you.

I think push is fine, I can also see making it 1300ish to go, plan on pushing any flop without an A if called. If re raised by first limper I think you have to give him at least JJ

Time for the results. Push wins by ten votes to seven:

xxJimmyMacxx: raises 3785 to 4185 and is all-in
    acemaker~II: raises 425 to 4610 and is all-in
    dawgs/#2: folds
    *** FLOP *** [9c Ac 2c]
    *** TURN *** [9c Ac 2c] [Qh]

    *** RIVER *** [9c Ac 2c Qh] [Ks]

    *** SHOW DOWN ***
xxJimmyMacxx: shows [Kd Js] (a pair of Kings)
acemaker~II: shows [Ah 7s] (a pair of Aces)
    acemaker~II collected 8995 from pot

And we're busted Unusual play from the CO, but then this is a $5 tourney. I suppose I got a flip for my chips so it's not too bad when I'm this short stacked. I have been trying to make moves a little earlier, before I get the point of having to shove the small blind/button with garbage, but this one didn't come off.

Thanx for all the responses guys!

If I were acemaker, I would have stolen with that hand. A7 is a decent hand to be the aggressor with, but I don't know if I would limp/call an all in with it. Like Ping said, the bad part about pushing is that someone could likely call in a coinflip situation with a low PP here or a marginal hand like A7.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.
