    Default NL $25 is DEAD!!!

FUCK NL $25...at empire and multi!

It is so awful it makes me want to cry.

    No one plays! Everyone Camps!

Where did all the fish go?

Shit...even when I 8 table between the sites i break even.

I only play AA,KK,QQ,JJ,KQ,AK,AQ,AJ and no action...ever!! When there is though, it is my over pair getting taken out by a set!

Is there any hope for 25$ NL?

I just laughed so hard soda sprayed out of my nose.

Why do you play poker like that? Great time for some big picture questions...

Yeah, I got the fuck out of Multi as SOON as my reload bonus cleared ($500 was worth sticking around for even if the games sucked balls - in the end $300 was profit)...

go back to party poker or stars, plenty of fish in those seas...

I found this quite humorous. Though I agree with the camping part.. even in the 50NL games on prima (finishing a PSO promo) were full of campers. I've gone back to limit where people actually need to make (poor) decisions with marginals hands often
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

Try Pokerroom 25NL Frizzle. You can find four tables with 40% players to the flop and a $10 average pot size. No problem. I have a 15% VPIP over there and I'm getting paid off plenty. One or two rocks per table, maximum.

I have never played at a Party Skin, and I'm too much of a noob to remember "the golden age of Party Poker" Shop around though, and there's plenty of super soft 25nl out there.

If that is you, then yes

    You should

    A) Learn how to play poker.

    B) Switch site, the old party skins are indeed very tight now.

The rake strukture at Pokerroom makes it almost unplayable at anything but the highest limits.

I haven't done the math, although I am aware that they do have an unusual rake structure. The rake is capped at 50c at 25nl though, so to some extent, what you lose on the little pots, you get back when you drag a big one.

I just looked at PT, the amount of rake I have paid per hand doesn't look too much different from Party, but I only have a few K hands on each. I don't feel the rake structure is preventing me from maintaining a nice win rate, although it could be the reason the games are so fishy.

I agree at 50nl and 100nl the rake on pokerroom probably bites a little too hard.

I was left high and dry at Multipoker. I still had 4,000 hands to clear for my bonus and all of a sudden it was a pile of leeches. I quickly realized Bonus Whore hadn't taught me well enough to beat these newly established tough limit games on the abandoned party skin. Long story short I've been gang raped like Napoleon Dynamite in the bighouse for a few days now and lost everything I expect to make with the bonus. It's gonna be a break even weep fest I hope. I suck at limit. Bonus Whore is a bitch. She told me to raise A9 suited from mid position. I also cold called a 2 bet raise in the SB with KQ suited. It's a good hand you bastards. Srew you. I'm limping 33 from EP.

In order to not suck at poker you need to adapt to your opponents. If you're playing $25 on the party network, your opponents have changed - there's few fish and many, many camping rocks. If you're just another rock, expect to lose.

There is hope - I've been playing on the network all month clearing bonuses. The table play has been about 1/2 as profitable as the bonuses.

Multipoker is turning me into a Pot Limit Omaha junky. You can literally own a full table of these people. No one raises preflop ever. Of course the one time there was heavy action preflop I had KK22 double suited and lost $25 to AAQ5.

Well, I am glad i made many of you laugh.

    Thanks For all your comments.

The original hands above are the ones i open and raise with, i still limp with pp for a set and other cards like jqs in late postition. I was just trying to illustrate the fact that 5/8 times that night when i had either AA,KK, or QQ...whenever i would raise 4BB the entire table would fold, even all the limpers. This might have been happening later in the game cause everyone picked up on my game, but it was also definetley happening in the beggining too.

Start raising much crappier cards (53s, for example) to 4x in late position against rocky blinds. You'll very likely pick up the blinds then too, but they'll notice you're raising more then 2% of hands and give your raises less respect.

Basically, imagine your opps have poker tracker. They probably do. When you see someone who has a VP$IP <10% and PFR <3% raise preflop and you're holding AQo, what would you do? Now what if their VP$IP is 20% with PFR of 8%?

    Adaptation.
    1) The rocks fold to aggression pre and post flop.
    2) Then they get sick of you buying pots.
    3)
    4) Profit.

I just moved off Empire because it was too tight. I was making plays like Rondavu was telling me off for last night and getting beaten!

The guys who said stealing blinds works are correct, on a 6 max table you can win 4-5 hands in a row, try betting 75c before the flop and 25c on the flop just for laughs and see how many fold!

On a 25$ table however I personally have discovered I don't yet have the necessary patience to make this work. I was spending an hour grinding up ten bucks then getting impatient and paying off the trips when I got 2 pair or something with AK; oh yes if your playing there still and they come back at you they do have trips! In one session I lost twice to flopped sets (2's and 5's i think) to higher ones. On Paradise and Stars where I also play these are no-brainers every time but I was starting to wonder on Empire at the end.

Basically I play poker a bit at night to unwind and have a laugh, so long as I am making some money so I dont go bust and am getting a bit of a mental workout I am happy. Basically Empire felt like a lot of work and no fun at the end (not that its the end of the site i'm sure theyt have teams of people working all day to attract casual players back), if you have DISCIPLINE with a capital D you can still make money there. I however cannot.

Playing pre-flop poker off a chart won't fix this. Also, in most online games I play in I'm folding 33 from EP and 3-betting KQs.

Many players in these games will only raise AAxx pre-flop with so little of an edge the information they give isn't worth it on top of the fact that they'll take it to the felt. Heads-up you can call that raise with any 4 and probably show a profit if there is still a lot of money behind. Multi-way it's still good because they'll pay you off far too often and you can bail if you think they caught top set.
