my feeling is that he would only cold call my raise with a pocket pair.. I have never played with him before and can't see how he could make this play with ANY other cards. who thinks it was a good fold? some of the guys at the table thought KK was good there..

QQ or trap with AA seems very likely. I don't see AQ as a possibility with a bet in front and 2 players left behind him. My guess is QQ, good fold.

AA would be extremely ballsy to make this play since there are 4 to the flop in a 7x BB raised pot...that makes QQ a very likely holding for one of the 4. I don't think any hand besides QQ is pushing here, at the very least its AA and you're kings are behind. Very nice fold.

he definitelydoesn't have a large pair... he limped in ...

i guess what im looking for here is who thinks he plays a set like this, and who thinks he would move here with suited and a pair or something.

But we don't know HE. He certainly wouldn't do this as a pure move unless he knows your capable of laying down an overpair. It's quite obvious you have one.

This comes up over and over again. You lay down for the following reason. If he's making this move on you with AQ vs your KK on a Q high board, then what makes you think that same player won't do the same when you have QQ instead? Whenever someone buys me out like this I write "Fool me once shame on you" in the chat and move on.

Whenever you get the feeling someone is moving on you when your hand is vulnerable, make sure you DON'T stand up to them the first time they try it without a sick read. Let him have his allowance. He's entitled.

Come to think of it, next time this happens to me I'm going to say "There goes your allowance" in the chat. I like that.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Don't say anything. Then they may not try it next time.
