Default why NOT to bluff at 100nl (and my favorite hand today)

when i play solid poker, i usually can make over 100 in a few hours. however, i give away a lot of money by bluffing. these two bluffs i dont think were that bad. opponents at this level will just refuse to lay down a pair sometimes.
NO more bluffing without STRONG reads and good reasons to do so.

in both these hands the villians had no reads on me other then i was a tight player, and no reason to think i was bluffing.

MY favorite hand of the day. i watched the big stack here put pressure on tonnes of pots where he shouldnt have. i stayed around to take a big pot off of him and i finally did it.
im really liking the catch your draw on the turn and just call then bet river move lately. more value i think.

hand 1: he has top pair and the nut flush draw. he reraised because his hand is massacring your hand. in addition, there's no reason for him to put you on a good hand because you didn't raise preflop. Your river "bluff" was 14 into a 35 pot, showing the strength of a 4 year old girl, his call wasn't bad.

Hand 2: bluffing doesn't involve minraising, or making less than half pot sized bets. he was right to call down these bets. bluffing is intended to scare your opponents away with how much you're willing to bet, not make tiny reasonable bets that are easy to call with a tpgk hand.

    hand 3: fold the flop.

hand one he made a very good re-raise on you. I would make the same one, for this reason.. you limped behind him preflop when a better ace would have raised. He thought u had clubs and was correct. u already know it but that was a horrid river bluff. mightve gotten away with it if u had raised turn and then pushed all in on river or overbet nicely.

hand 2.. hardly anyone lays down to sets at that level, and its hard to even at higher levels. Never try and bluff a set. low pocket pairs just get you in to trouble unless you make a set or maybe open ended strait draw in an unraised pot or against a late position raiser.

hand 3.. well played i usually fold to gutshots but u also got payed off really nicely so it was a good call.

^^^ yah i almost alwasys fold gutshots unless i have the odds, but i knew this guy was betting without much. i knew if i could hit i'd probably get paid off.

I donked off $50 once on a semi-bluff reraise ($50 includes the preflop betting) with KhKc on an AJ9 (all clubs) board against a guy who wouldn't lay down his A5o (no flush draw either) at 50 NL. I was sad.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

hand 3 calling isn't bad. you did get paid. i wouldn't do it unless the table was extremely loose though.
