Aces these are some nice hands, but could you throw in a little more than just the history? Maybe some thoughts on why you played it this way, reads etc... That'd help me better than just the history.

This one's pretty straight-forward really. He's repping a good hand on the flop - two pair or a set, the kind of hand you would want to raise someone else's bet with. When the opponent shows up weak on the turn, he bets him out. His actual cards don't mean much here except that he has outs if he gets called down.

Ha... I may do that. I like looking through and figuring out what you were thinking.

As far as moving up, it will be a while. I feel like I can play a good game but the swings I have suffered at times make me feel like maybe I'm not quite ready yet. I still need to find a way to always maintain discipline and not get too aggressive at the wrong times. You seem to pick a lot of the right spots... I'm more hit and miss. Seems like I always manage to run these plays against guys who have K2o and hit the king, and just won't let go even though their hand is technically pretty terrible.

Yeah, that is pretty much what I thought. If the opp came out betting the turn, would you have called down for the flush if the odds were there or raised him again? I hardly ever get a fold when I make a play like this so I have quit trying them. Probably has to do with the limits I play.

Depends If I had a read that he would fold by all means I would of pushed all in he bet out on the turn. If not I would of folded if no pot odds or called if they were with me.

My turn, looks like you read TonyG for AK/Q from the pre-flop raise and he tried to bet people off the pot when he missed so you repped a J with your raise.

Basically the same hand, but you got the fold you wanted on the flop. Repping AJ or a set of jacks, or something similar, and using the flush draw as an insurance policy...

Dont you just love these tight weak push overs?

Yep, they're pretty much my favorites.

I am not Dale, but will give it a shot.

Based on the flop checks/bet - no on repped top pair or better, where as your bet is repping at least top pair and not giving pot odds to any drawers?
If you put all your faith in the river, you are up shit's creek

Thanks for these hands... I think I may have found one of the reasons I don't get folds as often as I would like. I need to take into account the probability of the opponent having missed the board more when I semi-bluff. Then again they call down with anything so it seems semi-bluffing just isn't worth it at the .05/.1 NL tables....

Sit in a cash game sometime and just call preflop raises, then when they bet the flop, minraise it, then bet big or push the turn if they check. It's so effective against tight players it's almost criminal.

I earned an entire buy-in doing this at $200 NL, and the great thing is you have a hand that has them beat sometimes.

hell just put tape over your cards and play $200 NL sometime, it'll surprise you

I do that too sometimes; Cold call the flop cbet, then checkraise the turn. I prefer to do it with some outs though..
