Hand at casino...looking for feedback.
It was a weak table with 3 or 4 sharks, me being more of a fish.
The blinds are $1-$2 and I bought in for $100.
Earlier, I was the small blind with 8-2 off and called the family pot.
the flop came 8-A-8 rainbow and I bet out. The man on the button (player A) called. I figured he didn't think I would bet with the 8 so I felt my trips with a 2 kicker were good.
I bet until the river and he kept calling, I netted myself about 70 bucks that hand.
Kept playing pretty solid until this hand came up.
I'm under the gun with JJ and I raise to $10. It folds around to the button (player A) and he calls my raise. The small blind ends up going all in for about $30. I look at my stack and see that I have about $160. I look at Player A's stack and estimate about 130 or 140.
I decide I'd like to be in the hand but I have to protect my moderate sized pair. So I go all in. The button calls with AQ and the SB is all in with AT.
What do you think about this hand. Did I play it correctly? Should I have folded my Jacks figuring the button would call with too many different hands, or that he atleast would go all the way with his hand seeing him call my raise before the flop?
Would love some feedback on this hand. Thank you.
