    Default flopping 2 pair with J 3

i dont have the hand history because my email is gay and couldnt get it off the site but i am wondering if i played this right. the reraise scared me but thought i was ahead, just wondering is if this reraise shows the strength of 2 pair or a possible 3 of a kind. turd a was a pretty tight player but dont know enough about him to say more.
    sit & go on absolute
    blinds 75-150
    BB stoltzy [J 3] check
    UTG turd call
    button call
    3 folds
    flop J 3 Q rainbow
    stoltzy check
    turd bet 150
    button folds
    stoltzy raises to 450
    turd reraises to 900
    stoltzy calls 450
    turn 9
    stoltzy bets 1240 all in
    turd call
    river 6
    stoltzy shows 2 pair J 3
    turd shows 2 pair Q J-- wins 4730 chips

First of all, if turd is limping with QJ at this stage of the game, he is not a pretty tight player. That is pretty loose, especially given his position.

Anyhow, don't worry about what your bet means, worry about what his bet means. The best way to approach this decision is to put your opponent on a range of hands. What hands do you think he would JUST limp in with at this stage of the game?

Would he limp with AQ, QQ, or JJ? If you believe not, which I would agree, then remove them from the hands we're worried about. (There is some occasion when people might limp with AA, and pay you off handsomely here, but it's not wise to give too much weight to this here.)

Could he limp in with KQ, QJ, or 33? YES. There's also a small possibility that he could limp with JT. But I don't know if you'd get a reraise from middle pairs. So that narrows our range down to KQ, QJ, and 33 the most.

Go use http://www.pokerstove.com/ and figure out how your card equity holds up against that range. I think you'll be surprised at how poor a position that you are in. I said this in a previous post tonight. It's often times that we are in hands with hands we're not used to playing that gets us into the most trouble. Those hands are usually the hands from the blinds.

You got all the information you needed AFTER your raise. You defined your hand well enough. He defined his hand, IMO, as one of three hands, and those 3 hands are KQ, QJ, or 33. Your card equity is poor against this range. Save your chips for a better battle.

cant rule out a AQ limp from UTG, as well as QTs
