    Default Heads Up Tournee Style

    How do you play?

Lastnight I lost to a guy lastnight with ace queen to pocket deuces. I think he was betting all-in preflop everytime he had any sort of pocket pair. What do you think of this strategy? I think it's good because you could get bluffed out with any bet against you after you see a flop with two two's in your hand. Where as if you have pocket twos pre-flop, you're probably winning against 93% of any other given hand.

Do you promote this aggressive play?

Search in the sit-n-go forum for "heads up," you should find plenty to read. In answer to your question: yes, I play pocket pairs aggressively in heads up play. With large blinds relative to one or both players' stacks, I will push pre-flop with most pocket pairs, although I do slowplay the biggest pairs pre-flop a lot of the time.

Depends on the type of pair. Weak players can be beaten by weak hands. Pocket twos however is at best a coinflip if not dominated.
