Hand 2: I don't think there's any need to go batshit crazy at this point in the game with an overpair... standard opening bet should be fine, and evaluate from there. It's possible you're up against queens or a small set here... What you've done is turn your jacks into a weaker hand than they are. There are a FEW hands stronger than yours that might fold, and only one weaker one that might call (Pocket tens.) I think a huge overbet like that might even fold A9.

Thus the only thing that will call you is a hand that beats you, and you've eliminated your chance to make any more chips here.

Check raising the flop in hand 1 is just screaming strength and AK might find a fold here. I prefer leading the flop and hoping to get raised, this way its much easier to get more chips from a strong A. Turn push is fine.

Hand 2 I dont see the need to overbet, you are making it hard from them to make a mistake. A bet like that will still get called by better hands but hands that you beat might fold.
