Your all in was fine, just fold that hand preflop next time.

Why fold the it was only raised to 40 not much hit to my stack. I was next to button knew the others would only call not raise. The reason I asked was I am not that big on counting outs and pot odds stuff.

You fold preflop because in the long run you will lose more then you win with this hand.
You are hoping for a flop that will give you two pair at least, and those rarely come around

I have been doing a lot of thinking about this type of playing over the past 30 days. Considering our hero's position, and how close he is to closing the action, and his cards, I think his call is okay based on the following assumptions:

    1) He does not move forward with the hand postflop unless he hits the flop hard (meaning you have pot equity of at least 45%)

    2) If he plays the draw, he only plays the draw with odds for one card to come.

My point is, I think there is merit to limping here. I'm breaking the rules. There is more merit to limping here on pokerstars, then there is on party poker. But yes, our hero needs to consider the fact that limping here is likely a 40 chip loss 95% of the time.
