Should I had waited for the turn or reraised here to see where this guy was at? Or was my fold correct?

I think that you made a good fold. They called your 300 raise so I would put AQ or 88 in the range of hands that they may have. You may have been able to beat the AQ if an A didn't fall on the river but not the 88. You are second in chips so I wouldn't get crazy. They bet small but they could be trapping. How were they playing before this hand?

Pretty loose, that puckster is now out of the tournament and he had 6k when I had 400, now I just almost busted chas for all of his chips.

I called because I thought I was getting good odds, and these players were pretty loose, was this the right play?

From what I have read in other posts, the later the tourney the more short stacks go in with marginal hands. I think that you lucked out getting the flop that you did. Nice hand.

In response to rilla's post - now did you fold too early?

I woulda called that flop bet. If he's trapping fine - you'll be able to figure that out by the turn. If he's attempting to steal a pot with a weak bet... he very well might just cool off on the turn. Worth another 150 to me to get some more info.
