It's just me, but I'd throw a feeler bet out there.

Pot's about 900... maybe 300-450. If I get callers, I check turn and river unless a K shows.

If you put out 400 on flop you are only going to get called/raised by hands that have you beat. Plus you leave yourself like no stack if you fold if you get raised at that point. Betting ths flop is very baaaad.

This hand reminds me of the discussion in this thread: http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...ic.php?t=21766.

The situations arent the same, but I think the same thinking applies. No hand that you beat will call you, and by checking you give your opponent the chance of betting with a hand that you beat. With that kind of uncordinated board you arent affraid of giving opp a free card, cuz the one card you really fear is already on the flop. In the long run checking will yield most chips (or said differently: checking will make you loose less chips in the run).

You're right. I neglected to look at the size of your stack.

Question: I can see checking the flop, but how do you know if your hand is good unless you at least put out a bet on the Turn?

i think you're prepared to call a turn bet but fold to a river bet (that's the one-sentence version of the whole other thread)

Folding on the river is entirely up to your read of the player (and bet size/blind size etc)

I like the way u played it after that less than nice flop. But I would have bet more preflop. maybe 250.

I like your line post flop, but think the preflop raise was not big enough. With 5 limpers + your bb, there is 300 in the pot when the action gets to you. I think 250 is the minimum raise, both to isolate and to give bad odds to someone with a draw. I wouldn't mind taking the blinds w/out confrontation, and at this buyin level, I think someone might suspect you of making a move and lossen up their calling req. (just guessing as I don't play the 400s). Also, pushing may discourage people from limping on your bb, and somebody has got a pp and may call you.

Like was said, 250 min PF. If still 2 callers and A on flop a check is required. Call that turn bet.
