    Default OPERATION: TermTime (cancelled)

Well, ive been playing 15 months now and its time i set some goals, although being at uni right now means im limited to playing time.

Ok so i can play approx 21hrs per week max.
And because Asolute arent letting me at my money right now ive set up a new role on pokkerrooom.
Minimum stakes are 25nl, so the new 'role is $250 (only 10 buy ins)whichis a little dangerous but im confident ill be okay.

Goal is to make 6 big blinds per hour(this is convenient for my stats so i apologise it isnt in per100hands).
As i can two table on the uni computers without getting busted the target for each week is 244 big blinds per week (or in cash terms $61)
Im not sure how hard this taask is but im new to this so m going to be taking a target for a long period i think i can acheive.
Please note this will run through to april when i finish uni, but over recess eriods i wont be playing.
    So my targets.

Date. Bankroll. Profit to be made After.
    14nov $250 $61 $311
    21nov $311 $61 $372
    28nov $372 $61 $433
    5dec $433 $61 $494
    12dec $494 $61 $554

ifinish for christmas atthe end of the week beginning 12dec and when i have my return dates ill post the targets for that.
Id apreciate anybodies comments on the scale of the targets and illpost progress reports.
Ive done this to getused to the target idea as with less than 18months play im still a noob so im trying to improve my discipline.

Hopefully this will be the beginning of a 3rd 'roll.

    Revamped the math
21hrs at 6big blinds per hour, two tables is $63 per week.
So target is $563 from $250 by 19/12

Looks good to me - Pokerroom $25NL is fine, not as fishy at some but a nice, comfortable place to play. I personally like it better than all the other sites I've tried.

If you can keep up the 21 hours a week (obviously you won't be *studying*, but I'm sure students, like, went out and got drunk* etc. at times) then you'll make it with time to spare.

*don't ever ever ever play while drunk as you will lose $100. I promise this is true.

    lol
actually i am studying, 9am to 5pm then straight to the IT lab for poker. Putting in some long hours but its fine ive been doing longer while REALLY studying.
I noticed pokerroom wasnt so fishy thus i think the targets ive set are acheivable but not easy at that site.

ive changed the thinking slightly and have changed to full ring after dumping half of the starting bankroll. Im now makingmoney but it will be a while before i even reach my start pont, never mind the targets i set. What a nightmare 6max is on that site

Ok i have cancelled this operation.
    What a mess!
6 max. I started tight just raising good hands playing in pots where i thought i should. Did ok, but still a few too many hands where scare cards appeared and i faced an all in or just general bad beats. Made slight profit at this.
Loosened my game and got crippled. I basically value betted myself to death on draws and good hands. Too many times i hit the flop/turn only to be called by ace high and other junk that snagged the river/turn and left me stacked.
    Full ring.
More success here but camping for good hands eventually became useless as too many people knew my play. So my hands wouldnt get paid.
Most importantly what have i learnt?
Well, ive been beating ap and party upto 100nl quite comfortably, i have a reasonable sng and mtt record, but this site just baffled me. I wont complain too badly i can take a $250 hit it was just the amount of call downs or lucky hits staggered me. Every time i hit something i got busted. I have no recorded pots, in 45 hrs play, where i won the hand when i got my chips all in! that is scary compared to 300/400 hrs stats at other sites where i have been stacked maybe 20 times total!
So i have learnt how much i can take before i need to quit from near tilt even though im on my a-game and i know to steer well clear of this site.
Shame my first operation got screwed up but i can handle that until i finish uni

You quit because PokerRoom is rigged?

    Nice.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.
