With no real reads, what play do you make here?

    ug again.

pre flop and on the flop I'd bet a little more.

As played... boy. I think most of the time someone hits their flush against my top set here (esp with no read) I'm going broke. You have outs to the boat at least. KQ/AK (esp with a diamond) play the same, as well as QQ/66/KJ maybe.

That is a tough spot. You may be behind but I would call and look for a cheap showdown if you don't catch one of your 10 outs to the Boat/quads. If he doesn't have the nut flush, he may check the river. If you call and he pushes the river, he likely has you beat and you can cry and fold with a decent stack and still relativly low blinds. If he has AK he may check or make a blocking/value bet that you should call if it is reasonable (I call another 800, maybe 1000 or so if a non-diamond hits). I'd like to hear how others would play this as well.

My insticts tell me that he limped UTG w/pp and either tripped up or has AA. If I had a read that he was a good player, I would be reluctant to put him on anything other AK(probably A of daimonds)/pp. So, I would like to show it down if 4 to the flush doesn't hit on the river. How did he get his stack?

I think you're ahead. He could have the flush, but I am actually more worried about another diamond falling on the river.

You certainly cannot fold here with 10 outs to the nuts, and possible 2nd best hand betting into you.

There is one minor factor - a tiny stack is all-in, so any bluffs will have to be shown down.

If I really think he is just on a draw, I push the turn. Otherwise, I call turn and probably river as well. I just kind of hope he doesn't push the river. I'll call any river with the possible exception if a non-A diamond (that doesn't give me the boat!) comes out. Even then I'm not sure I can get away from from this hand. Ideally, I want to show this hand down with some chips left (500-1000). (Unless I hit the boat obviously)

    I think I push.

Is he going to lead a draw after your preflop raise? Not likely. I think AK is very likely here, absent any read.

If he's got the flush, which isn't impossible, I still have plenty of outs.

Like I said, I think he has AK with a likely Ace of Diamonds... And I'm willing to bet my stack on it here.

I like calling the turn here then seeing what the river brings and how he plays it. I might still go broke on the river but want some more information before I do. AK seems unlikely with you knowing where 3 K's are and he probably would have played it stronger on the flop with draw out there. The turn bet is weird and I really want to see his river action. If he check the river you get a safe showdown and probably a nice pit. If he has a hand and the board doesen't pair he may opt to value bet over going AI so you are left with a stack. Pushing the turn seems counterproductive.

You know, I misread the hand... I thought he was aggressive preflop. That does tend to rule out AK...

Seems unusual that he'd make that kind of call with suited connectors. I think you're still likely up against a big Flush draw and a pair, maybe an odd too pair ir a smaller set.

I can't help but think you're ahead here. I maybe call the turn, and see what happens on the river.

    The river was the 5.

Villan checked, and I ended up checking behind.

He had 78o (no diamonds) for the straight.
